Can you relaunch a brand, a product and a go-to-market in 90 days? Yes, if you run them at the same time instead of one after another. Every founder we meet has the same plan: rebrand first, rebuild the product second, launch when both are done. In practice that takes nine months, and by launch day the brand already feels old.
Why doing it in order breaks launches
When brand, product and growth run one after another, each team makes decisions the next team has to undo. The brand picks a tone the product can’t live up to. The product ships features the launch can’t explain. Growth inherits both and is told to make it work.
We saw the opposite with Idara. Brand, website and web app were designed together, so the identity, the marketing site and the product people use every day told one story from the first click. Registering a business went from weeks to under ten days, and sign-ups and enquiries rose 60% across Nigeria and Ghana.
“A rebrand nobody ships is just a very expensive PDF.”
The 12-week shape
We run three tracks at once and let them overlap on purpose. Brand starts first, but product design begins in week three, using the brand while it’s still being finished. Growth joins in week eight with real screens, not mockups.
- 01Weeks 1–4: brand identity. Positioning, voice, logo and the core visual system.
- 02Weeks 3–10: product and app UX, then the build. The screens new users see first, designed on the new brand.
- 03Weeks 8–12: the launch. A website, campaign creative and paid ads built from real product screens.
What we cut to make it fit
Twelve weeks is tight. Here is what usually goes, and why nobody misses it:
- 01The 80-page brand book. A 12-page one people actually open does more.
- 02Redesigning every screen. We redo the five that new users see first.
- 03Launching on every channel. We pick the two where your buyers already are.
- 04Approval rounds by committee. One decision-maker, one weekly review.
What you have on day 90
- brand system in use
- 1
- product release shipped
- 1
- launch campaign live
- 1
More importantly, you have one story told the same way across your site, your product and your ads. That consistency is what makes a relaunch feel like a step forward instead of a new coat of paint. If you want to see what your 12 weeks would look like, get a free 90-day roadmap.
